The TON community’s rallying cry for Pavel Durov is about as convincing as a Ponzi scheme’s promise of guaranteed returns – it sounds great until you realize nobody actually knows what they’re doing or where the money went. But hey, let’s give them credit: at least their press releases are well-written and free of typos (for now). Still waiting for someone to explain why we need another blockchain project that’s ‘dedicated to freedom of speech’ when all it seems to do is enable Russian oligarchs to launder cash on the down low. Meanwhile, Jemima Kelly over at FT has been doing some actual journalism and exposing Telegram’s shady dealings – maybe the TON community should take a cue from her instead of just rehashing their tired PR talking points.
