Pavel Durov’s Telegram has been accused of facilitating deepfakes, because what could possibly go wrong with an unregulated platform allowing anyone to share explicit content? I mean, it’s not like this will attract a bunch of perverts and scammers or anything. But seriously, folks, if you’re going to use an app that can’t even be bothered to provide account information to law enforcement when they ask for it nicely, maybe don’t say I didn’t warn you about the deepfakes…or worse.
