Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water… Congress is at it again with their latest attempt to regulate cryptocurrency (read: try and figure out how not to get scammed by all those crypto bros). This time, Congressman Tom Emmer is taking aim at SEC Chair Gary Gensler for his handling of cryptocurrency enforcement. And let me tell you, folks, this guy’s got some serious beef with the Chairman – he’s accusing him of breaking the law and having a culture of loyalty to himself (Gensler) over the agency’s mission. Ouch! Emmer even brought up that pesky Utah court case where SEC attorneys allegedly lied to the judge in order to target cryptocurrency companies, resulting in $2 million in legal fees. That’s some serious crypto-bull-oney right there!.
