Robotics has been touted as the future for years now, but let’s be real – it’s all a bunch of hype from companies trying to make a quick buck off our gullibility. Nvidia and its ilk have made bank off generative AI, but how long before they move on to something else? The answer is always ‘robotics’, because that sounds cool and futuristic. Meanwhile, the actual applications of robotics are still years away – we’re talking about human-sized machines doing household chores here, folks! Not exactly a revolutionary concept. And let’s not forget the elephant in the room: who’s going to pay for all these robots? Consumers aren’t lining up just yet, so it’ll be interesting to see how big tech plans on making this whole thing profitable.
